The Ulverstone Veterinary clinic is a mixed practice that has provided a continuous service to the community of the Central Coast of Tasmania since the mid 1970s.
In 1979 Dr Peter Thomson commenced practice at Ulverstone after graduating from Sydney University. At this time the practice was mostly large animal based, quite different to today. It has since evolved to be a 2-3 vet mixed practice with an emphasis on companion animals but with a depth of large animal experience.
We have chosen our team carefully. You will find them helpful, honest, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate both for you and your pet’s needs. We take time to explain details of procedures, treatments and fees and we endeavor to also provide you with information and treatment plans as needed to assist your understanding.
- It is a clean, purpose built, well-equipped, established business and is centrally located in Ulverstone. We have ample, convenient parking. Our hours of opening are client friendly with an afterhours service provided by the team at our clinic for your peace of mind in emergencies.
- To promote responsible pet ownership
- To appreciate and foster the importance of the relationship between humans and animals
- To at all times respect the rights of animals as pets, in the industries of production and sport and as living creatures in their natural habitat
These are considered in all decisions and routines carried out at the clinic.
